Movie Dogs

Recently my own dog, Ollie the wonder dog,(Silky Terrier Shimdan's Oliver Bartok, ME) was in an independent movie.  When I'm not snakeproofing dogs I write--four screenplays and two novels to date. The first novel is titled: Vitamin Wow, an action adventure set in Saudi Arabia and can be found on Amazon. The second novel titled, The Strain Ten Corollary, a bio-thriller set in Arizona is due out March 2010, it can also be found on Amazon.  (I write under the pen name James Frayne.)

The movie, called Service Dog, is a romantic comedy short that I penned last summer.

It's about a cute twenty something girl who wants to change her boy friend from being a world class slob to just a slob--a regular guy. She thinks that if she gets him a dog he will have something else to do rather than drink beer, play sports and write computer programs. And her plan works...sort of. The movie was shot in March '08 and is now in post production. Watch this space for the link to the movie when it's finished.

The movie is finally finished and here is the address. This is not a link you will have to copy and paste this address. http:/www.youtube.com/user/ServiceDogMovie

Movie Snakes

The snakes we use for training are four female western diamondbacks. We know they're females because the first year we had them they all had babies. (Goliath had 13, Big Momma 10, Juliet 5, and Comso 5. )

These snakes have appeared on local TV, but recently they were featured in a movie. The movie, titled Purgatory, AZ, was produced by BigBrain Productions, an Arizona film company.

In the opening scene, the lead character is bitten by a rattlesnake (played by ViperVoidance's own Goliath) and winds up in Purgatory (AZ).  The movie may be available sometime in 2008.

SUPER BOWL 2008

The first weekend of January 2008 the "girls" went on a video shoot. All four snakes were there and three were featured.  These snakes do a great sit-stay. Actually, it's more like a sit-rattle. (a little snake humor there.)

The producers wanted shots of rattlesnakes, so when the broadcaster comes back from a commercial, the viewing public will be reminded of where the Super Bowl is being played. (Humm, using that logic, the entire world will think that Arizona is infested with rattlesnakes.) So, if you watched the 2008 SuperBowl and saw a rattlesnake next to a: football helmet, football, or a cowboy hat and rope, it was a ViperVoidance snake.

We've returned (January 2010) from The Vulture Mine in Wickenburg, Arizona. The TV series Ghost Hunters was filming an episode there and wanted rattlesnakes for cut-a-way shots. It was cold and raining and the girls only wanted to get back in the cage; however, the crew got the shots they needed. Episode may air sometime in 2010 in the fall.
